The process for depositing funds by EFT is explained in detail here - Fund Deposit by EFT.

The unique deposit reference you will need to use to fund your accounts is required for deposits into the following account types:

  1. EasyEquities ZAR (Standard Investment Account), and
  2. EasyEquities RA (Retirement Annuity Account).

The reference number is the full 13 / 14 character account number displayed on the account overview page of that respective account - as explained below.

To avoid transacting in the wrong account, make sure you always select the desired account you want to transact in before taking the desired action (deposit, investment etc)

Please note: TFSA and USD accounts can be funded from the EasyEquities ZAR account by using our Inter-account Transfers and EasyFX menu option - as explained HERE.

In other words, transfer funds  by EFT from your bank account into your EasyEquities ZAR account and then transfer them to TFSA or USD accounts from within the EasyEquities platform.

EasyEquities ZAR Account

If wanting to transfer funds to your ZAR account, you must ensure you select your EasyEquities ZAR account from the account ribbon just below the EasyEquities logo at the top of the page (as shown in red in the image below).

Once you have the correct account selected, make certain you are on the "Account Overview" page and the reference you must use for the transfer is the account number displayed to the right below the account ribbon - as shown by the black arrow in the image below. This account number starts with the letters EE (as explained above).

Alternatively, you can find the reference on the "Deposits" page of the account (Investment / TFSA / RA) into which you want to deposit the funds.

RETIREMENT ANNUITY ACCOUNT (RA)

If wanting to transfer funds to your RA account, you must ensure you select your EasyEquities RA account from the account ribbon just below the EasyEquities logo at the top of the page (as shown in orange in the image below).

Once you have the correct account selected, make certain you are on the "Account Overview" page and the reference you must use for the transfer MUST be the account number displayed to the right below the account ribbon - as shown by the black arrow in the image below. This account number starts with the letters EE (as explained above).

Alternatively, you can find the reference on the "Deposits" page of the account (Investment / TFSA / RA) into which you want to deposit the funds.

PLEASE NOTE:

It is extremely important you use the correct account number as reference to ensure the funds are allocated to the correct account.

We have just developed an automatic allocation tool that will operate at night and over weekends and provided that your reference is correct, funds can be allocated to your account at those times.

IF however the deposit reference is incorrect, this will almost without fail cause unnecessary and potentially frustrating delays to the allocation of funds which may mean you miss out on an important trade.
