What is Form W-8BEN-E

A W-8BEN-E form must be completed by non-US legal entities that have invested in US stocks or derive income from US based sources and are not US taxpayers. The purpose of the form is to claim a reduction in the amount of US tax chargeable from the US sourced income or US stocks- (due and payable by a US Company). 

Who should Complete Form W-8BEN-E

The W-8BEN-E Form should be completed by non-US legal entities not paying tax in the US.

A W-8EXP form must be completed by public/government type institutions, a non-profit organization, a tax-exempt entity, a stokvel, an international organisation or a private foundation.
