Setting up your EasyEquities account through Discovery Bank (Link/Register)

When you link your EasyEquities account to your Discovery Bank app, your investments will automatically count towards points you can earn with no need to upload further supporting documents.

Investments across your accounts (ZAR, TFSA, USD, AUD, GBP and Euro) will count towards your Savings Points, and the investments in your RA will be used for the Retirement Points you can earn with Vitality Money.

You can either link your existing EasyEquities account to your Discovery Bank profile, or you can register an account straight from your Discovery Bank App.

Do I need to register for another EasyEquities account?
If you have an existing EasyEquities account that you want to link to Discovery Bank, then there is no need to register a new one. 

Simply link your existing EasyEquities account by following the below steps: 

  • Ensure you have the latest version of the Discovery Bank app downloaded (version 3.8.1 or higher)
  • Open your Discovery Bank app
  • Log in
  • Scroll to the end of your account tiles at the top of your app
  • Click “Add Account”
  • Select “EasyEquities”
  • Read and accept the presented consent screens
  • Fill in your EasyEquities login details and tap “Login”
  • Click on “Allow” on the EasyEquities data sharing consent screen
     

How do I register a new EasyEquities account?

  • Ensure you have the latest version of the Discovery Bank app downloaded (version 3.8.1 or higher) 
  • Open your Discovery Bank app
  • Log in
  • Scroll to the end of your account tiles at the top of your app
  • Click “Add Account”
  • Select “EasyEquities”
  • Read and accept the presented consent screens
  • Fill in your EasyEquities login details and tap “Login”
  • Click on “Allow” on the EasyEquities data sharing consent screen
  • Select a user name and password that you'll use to log into your EasyEquities account
  • You are then asked if you wish to set up Two-Factor Authentication: choose "no" (you can always set this up later)
  • Select your profile type as "Individuals, 18+
  • Complete the outstanding fields on the registration pages
  • Click on "Allow" on the EasyEquities Data Sharing screen.

Once your account is set up, you can then activate the remaining account types (giving you access to even more currencies to invest in) by following the instructions in this FAQ
