If for any reason you want to close your EasyEquities accounts, you are more than welcome to do so. There are a few steps to follow including: 

• Sell all holdings. This will include all assets in DEMO accounts, ZAR, TFSA, and offshore accounts.
• Withdraw all funds from the accounts. 
• Notify our friendly client experience team by submitting a request to close your account. 

Just so you know, if you hold any EasyProperties investments, you can only sell these properties on auction. 

It is important to note, that if your account has R0 in it, the account can remain open as there will not be any fees charged on the account. This will enable you to restart your investment journey at any time. 

Once the account is closed, you will need to reach out to our Client Experience team to request any statements and/or tax certificates as you will not have access to the platform. 

The Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) requires accountable institutions to keep records for up to 5 years. This means we will close your account, however, your personal information will remain in our database as required by law. Kindly review our Privacy Policy for more information.
