Why was my Ruturn Trading account closed?

Your Ruturn Trading account was closed because they did not receive confirmation of the EasyEquities account they should transfer your portfolio to before the app was discontinued on 7 June 2024.

Can I reopen my account?

While you cannot re-open your Ruturn Trading account, you can register for an EasyEquities account to start investing again.

How do I get my funds back?

If they were unable to transfer your funds back to the bank account they had on file (as they were either unverified or not captured), your funds are being held securely by EasyEquities. To receive your funds, reach out to EasyEquities here for assistance.

What happens to my debit order?

Debit orders were canceled when the app was discontinued. If you’d like to set up a new recurring investment in your EasyEquities account, check out this FAQ for more information on how to do so.

Can I still have my account Managed?

EasyEquities is a self-managed platform, however, we do offer managed products on the platform, such as bundles and Unit Trusts. Have a look at what you can invest in here.

What happens to my existing balance and transaction history?

If you did not elect to have your portfolio transferred to EasyEquities, your holdings would have been sold and the funds transferred to the bank account they had on file for you. If they were unable to transfer your funds, you can reach out to us here to receive them.

Are my investments still held at the same invested amounts?

Yes, your holdings and free cash would have been transferred exactly as they were.

Are there any fees associated with the transfer?

No. Part of the deal between EasyEquities and Ruturn Trading was that portfolios would be transferred at no cost.

How do I find my previous tax certificates?

How do I update my details with EasyEquities?

You will need to reach out to the support team by logging a ticket here.

Was there any break in my investment period due to the transfer?

No.

Will I still be able to get dividends?

Yes, any dividends due to you would now be allocated to your portfolio that was transferred to EasyEquities.

How will I be notified about changes to my new EasyEquities account?

EasyEquities sends confirmation emails when you change any details in your account. We also send confirmation emails for deposits, withdrawals, inter-account transfers and transactions
