Opened EasyEquities from your Absa banking app? Welcome to EasyEquities. You're on the full EasyEquities platform, so everything works the same as on our app. This guide is a quick map of the things most people want to do first, with a link to the full answer for each.

Getting Your Account Ready
Add it yourself in your EasyEquities profile. You'll need it before you can withdraw.
- The account must be in your own name.
- You can add up to two bank accounts per currency.
- Absa accounts are checked automatically, which usually takes up to 48 hours.

Turn on two-factor authentication (2FA) in your profile's security settings. You'll link an authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator, and enter its 6-digit code when you log in on our app or website.
It takes a couple of minutes and makes your login a lot harder for anyone else to use.

Your EasyEquities profile can hold several accounts, each for a different goal, such as a Tax-Free Savings Account, accounts in US dollars, pounds, euros or Australian dollars, EasyProperties and retirement accounts. You can add the ones you want from the menu.

Thrive is our loyalty programme, and every EasyEquities account holder is automatically a member. There's nothing to activate and nothing to opt out of, and it works the same whether you open EasyEquities from Absa, our app or our website.
- As you invest and use other EasyGroup products, you earn EasyMoney back as a rebate, credited the month after. The Thrive Level you reach each month sets how much.
- Each month's EasyMoney is locked for 3 years before you can withdraw it, though you can invest with it in the meantime.
- There's also a R25 monthly Thrive Fee, which can be waived. Thrive Levels Explained covers how it works.

Adding Money
Tap My Funds, choose your EasyEquities ZAR account and pick a payment method. Some methods reflect almost straight away; a normal bank EFT takes up to 2 business days.
Paying by EFT? Use the bank details and reference exactly as they appear on your own Deposits page.

Use EasyFX to convert rands from your ZAR account into US dollars, pounds, euros or Australian dollars, right inside EasyEquities. It usually takes a few hours, so allow up to 1 business day.
EasyFX is for South African citizens and permanent residents aged 18 or older, within your yearly foreign allowance. The full guide covers the allowance, costs and other ways to fund a global account.

Once your ZAR account is funded, you can transfer money to your other EasyEquities accounts, such as your TFSA or EasyProperties, from My Funds. Transfers are usually quick, but allow up to 2 business days.
Only money that has settled can be moved, so cash from a sale you've just made may need a few days first.

Investing
Tap Invest, find a share or ETF you like, tap Buy, choose the account you're buying in and enter an amount. You don't need enough for a whole share: you can buy a slice of one with whatever amount suits you.

The prices you see while browsing are delayed by 15 minutes, but your order goes through at the live market price when it's placed. If the market is closed, your order waits as a pending order and goes through once the market opens. You can cancel it while it's pending.

Open the account that holds the investment, find it in your holdings and tap Sell. The money from a sale shows as unsettled cash for a few business days before you can withdraw it.

Keeping Track
Open the menu and tap Statements. Your statements and tax certificates for each account are there to download. If a document asks for a password, it's the ID or passport number on your profile.

Open the menu and tap Transaction History, then choose the account and the dates you want to see.

Taking Money Out
Tap My Funds, then Withdraw, choose the account and enter the amount. Your bank account needs to be added and verified first.
- Withdrawals submitted before 14:00 on a business day are processed that day; later ones, and those on weekends or public holidays, the next business day.
- Once processed, allow up to 2 to 3 business days for the money to reach your bank.

The Withdraw page shows how much you can withdraw right now. Usually the rest falls into one of these:
- Unsettled cash: money from a recent sale that's still settling.
- Locked funds: recent deposits held for a set time, depending on how you paid. You can still invest with them.
- Your bank account hasn't been verified yet.
