When registering your EasyEquities account, you were asked to enter details about your country of residence. If you did not type South Africa into the citizenship field or supply an SA ID number, you will only be given a USD account. In order to open a ZAR account you must be South African resident or resident of the Common Monetary Area which includes Lesotho, Namibia and Swaziland.
