There are a few scenarios which could result in you not being able to access your EasyEquities account, or certain features. The below outlines what each of these reasons could be, and how to solve them.
You need to complete your profile
If you began registering an account on the EasyEquities widget, but were unable to complete registration and navigated away from the registration process, you may find that you are unable to access your widget when you go back to log in. Even though your account has been created, you will only be able to access it once the information we need from you is complete. Here's a guide on how to do that.
You’ve entered an incorrect password too many times
We’re big on security and keeping your account safe, so if you enter your password incorrectly more than three times, we’ll lock your account. You can unlock your account by resetting your password.
If you do not receive the reset password link, check your spam and junk folders and if you still can’t see it, log a ticket for further assistance here.
I can’t login, it says my username and password don’t match, but it is correct.
Please ensure that all of your details are 100% correct. You can find your username in your welcome mailer. You can also clear your browser cache and try again. If you still have no luck, reset your password following these steps.
It doesn’t accept my password/It just reverts to login page?
Start by clearing your cache and try a different browser. If that does not work, please update chrome. Secondly and importantly you’ll need to update something called “Android system file” or "Android system webview" on your phone or uninstall and reinstall (both available on the play store). This could fix a compatibility issue that you may have on your device.
We need a little more information from you
After you submit your details on registration, we begin running a series of checks in the background to get to know you better and confirm certain aspects of your identity. Please give us at least 36 hours for our electronic verifications to complete. We will notify you once the process is complete, and in some cases may ask you for a few more details. If this is the case, we’ll be in touch with you to let you know which documents we need.
There’s a mismatch on your ID
Sometimes if an ID number is captured incorrectly in registration or the details you have entered don’t match what is on record at home affairs, we may need to run a few more compliance checks to verify your account. If this is the case an agent will get in touch with you to let you know if any additional information or documentation is required to verify your account.
