How does the Immediate Transfer feature work?

The immediate transfer option on the Capitec widget allows you to instantly transfer funds from your bank account into your ZAR or TFSA account. This allows you to bypass the 2 working day wait period normally associated with making a deposit but carries an R7.50 charge from Capitec.

How to use the Immediate Transfer feature

When you are looking to fund your account:

  • Navigate to My Funds
  • Select Transfer Funds
  • Select account you would like to make the transfer from and to
  • Choose the Immediate Transfer option
  • Confirm your transaction

What happens if I select ‘Transfer’ and not ‘Immediate Transfer’?

Selecting Transfer when funding your account will allow you to make a regular deposit, which only carries the R1 charge from Capitec applicable to regular transfers. This will take up to 2 working days to reflect in your account.
